UP&DOWN lamp

The design cycle for the UP&DOWN lamp, developed in 2002, is not yet complete. We always set ourselves ambitious interim targets - when this lamp was conceived, the technology then available could not, as yet, provide us with the solutions the design of the UP&DOWN lamp required.
 

Our project envisaged that the light source would be at the centre of the diffusor, which it should be possible to separate from the base; we also envisaged that the lamp would replicate the effect of an hourglass, with the lamp itself still lit.
